Custom Structures

Architects & General Contractors

In 2008 Custom Structures, Inc. designed, constructed and moved into their new office off of Graves Mill Road in Lynchburg, Virginia.  This new 5,000 s.f. office contains administrative offices, project manager work rooms, a conference room, showroom, file storage room, scheduling and procedures room, break area, public space and second floor design studio.

This craftsman style structure with its stone piers, stucco walls, bracketed eaves and standing seam roof is a good example of the design creativity this firm brings to its residential and commercial clients.

In 2007 Custom Structures, Inc. purchased a piece of property off of Graves Mill Road that no one else wanted. The site was an eye sore due to erosion and neglect.  A previous building that had once been used as a bus maintenance shop was on the property and had been vacant for over a decade. Trees were uprooting the foundation and vines were growing within the building.

With insight and vision, Custom Structures, Inc. designers transformed this run-down structure into their construction shop and built their new design studio next door.   In 2008, Custom Structures, Inc was the recipient of the American Institute of Architects, Blue Ridge Chapter’s Craftsmanship Award.
